2002: Red Flower on Black

The Next Egg

My third Amy Egg was white, which I hadn't done in a while. When I hold workshops, newbies generally want any white eggs, so I stick with the brown ones. The white is a far crisper looking background color.

This time, I even did the green part with a Q-tip, as recommended in classic dye instructions. One plus about traditional designs is they're easier to recreate than random doodle eggs.

It helps immensely that after several dozen eggs in the past few years, I have a much steadier hand. Do not be discouraged by how your first few eggs come out.
