November: Crazy Quilt Egg

"Light" blue? Yeah right. It Did turn out to be less like purple than I expected. Next time, skip the light red and add the violet, for a more rainbow effect.

An earlier version of this sort of egg was lost in a toaster oven mishap, that being my modern way of "candling" the wax off the eggs.

Random Quilt eggs are the most time consuming. The other patterns are usually reasonably set, or at least limited, after the first layer of wax. These require artistic reconsideration for every round of dye.
